KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

We believe it is important for all students, teachers, and parents to be aware of the rising issue of mental health and suicide, especially in Orange County. According to the Voice of OC, "since the late 1990s, sunny Orange County has had the largest suicide-rate increase among the nation’s 20 most-populous counties" (par. 2). Because of this, we think it is vital for people of all ages to be aware of the signs and solutions to be better prepared to help those suffering from mental health issues. In the event someone is faced with this issue, they will be able to carry out the appropriate and effective actions to help the struggling person in need.
