  • Surround yourself with people who want to see you healthy​​
  • Stay away from social media, people and activities that promote unrealistic body images or give you low self-esteem
  • Do some positive activities that bring you joy and happiness
  • Acknowledge all your good qualities

Friend/Family Member

  • Set aside time to talk with them
  • Communicate concerns in an assertive way without attacking
  • Provide support
  • Suggest speaking to a professional
  • Avoid conflict and shame
  • Educate yourself in the disorder so you know what your friend is going through
