**Rain or shine, we will be hosting this event outdoors. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Pop up tents will be provided.**
Kids 12 & Under: $12.00
Students & Teachers: $15.00
Adults: $20.00
Please note that paying the registration fee allows for participants to engage in all activities (listed down below). There are no extra fees for food, raffle entries, etc. However, we will also take donations either online or at the event. Thank you!
*We will be closing registration at 6 PM on Friday, February 21, 2020. Participants will have the option to register on the day of the event with cash or credit card.
ABOUT OUR EVENT

9:00 AM - 1:00 PM San Juan Hills High School Strength Over Silence (SOS) invites people of all ages to participate in the Second Annual Walk for Wellness. The goal of SOS is to raise public awareness about mental health and suicide prevention. SOS is a student-led organization, developed and executed by the award-winning Future Problem Solvers Club at San Juan Hills High School. The Walk for Wellness features a walk on the peaceful and scenic San Juan Hills High School track from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Although participants will set their own pace and duration, we encourage everyone to try to complete at least 12 laps (3 miles). This fun and educational event will include: *Free breakfast and lunch *Water, coffee, and snacks *Opportunity drawings (gift cards and gift baskets) [Additional items subject to change] *Dunk Tank (SJHHS teachers and staff) [Schedule subject to change] *Inflatable Slide *Corn Hole *Live Animals (BRING YOUR PETS) *Face Painting *Free "R U Ok?" books written by Kristi Hugstad *Free blue and purple ribbon pins and necklaces *Activity/educational booths *Vendor tables *Music *Free parking During the event, SOS will be handing out blue and purple satin ribbons and necklaces that participants can wear in honor of a friend or family member who has been impacted by mental illness. _____________________ Proceeds raised from the Walk will be donated to the San Clemente Wellness and Prevention Center. |
